New Students: Register for a course online. Once you have registered and clicked submit, you will be enrolled and sent an email confirmation. We will email you information on how to access your course within three to five days. Please check your junk/spam folder if you do not receive this information. If you do not find the email there, submit a Help Desk ticket: https://helpdesk.bakeru.edu/helpdesk.
Prerequisites: Students in our online courses must be proficient in word processing and be able to navigate the Web, communicate via email, attach files, and open files. Moodle is the learning management tool that is employed to communicate, post, and access instructional materials.
Books: Students are required to purchase their own textbooks and course resources. Required text and course material information is available in the Baker Student Portal. Books may be purchased or rented from the Baker Bookstore or ordered online at bakerU.edu/bookstore. Baker University reserves the right to make revisions to book and course materials information as necessary without incurring obligation.
Late fee: A late fee of $30 will be assessed for courses not paid in full by the first day of the course.
Payment: For security reasons, all payments must be made online.
Tuition refund policy: Written notification of withdrawal received by Continuing Education before the first class session = full tuition refund. Written notification received before second class session = 90% tuition refund. Withdrawal after second class session of a course = no tuition refund. The technology fee is nonrefundable.
Cancellation of a course: All scheduled courses are subject to sufficient enrollment. Baker University reserves the right to cancel courses or make other revisions as necessary, including book and course materials information, and to do so without incurring obligation. The information in this schedule is based on conditions at the time of publishing and is subject to change. Consult the online Baker University Catalog & Student Handbook for specific details concerning cancellations, refund policies, and academic requirements.
Online enrollment tutorial: An online enrollment tutorial (for current students) is available through your Baker Student portal.
Dropping a course: To drop a course, submit a course withdrawal request form.
Because of the accelerated nature of Baker’s course work, students are not allowed to enroll in a class once it has started.

Financial aid information: Financial aid is only available for degree-seeking programs. If taking 6 or more credit hours, you can have your student loans deferred. For information contact the Office of the Registrar at records@bakerU.edu or 785.594.8318.
Transcript requests: Official transcripts may be requested by submitting a Transcript Request Form. Requests are processed only after receipt of a signed request with payment for students whose Baker account is not past due.
